Melissa Garcia is a native Texan and a nationally certified physician assistant since 2002. She is a 1995 Cum Laude graduate from The University of Texas – Arlington, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. She went on to The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to receive her second Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2002. She has been practicing within the specialty of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for over 16 years and also practiced within the specialties of Plastic Surgery and Medical Aesthetics for 3 years and ENT for 2 years. She finds the most fulfillment in helping pediatric patients with eczema and asthma. My main emphasis is to manage my patient’s health well. I want to help people improve their quality of life, so they may excel and be their best selves in school, at home, and with their extracurricular activities. Helping others through empathy and compassion has always been an innate instinct and calling. Spanish is her second language. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, live music, writing poetry and supporting her favorite football and basketball teams; Dallas Cowboys 4 Life, Go Spurs Go.
