There are medications that may interfere with the accuracy of skin testing. Please read our Pre-Appointment Items below to find out what specific medications need to be withheld prior to your new patient appointment:



New Patient Appointment Important Items:

  1. Please consult with your primary care provider prior to stopping any of these drugs. It may not be safe for some patients to stop some of these medication abruptly on their own.
  2. Bring your insurance card and driver's license.
  3. Payment will be due at time of service.
  4. Do not bring any food into our office.
  5. Do not wear perfume or cologne when coming to our office.
  6. Expect approximately two hours for your initial appointment.

*PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN PRIOR TO STOPPING ANY MEDICATIONS. It may not be safe for some patients to stop some of these medications abruptly on their own. All other medications not listed should be fine to continue prior to skin testing. We have not been able to include all brand names- please try to find the generic names of the current medications you use when looking through this list.


If you suffer from an allergic hive and or swelling problem, please do not stop any antihistamines prior to your initial scheduled visit with our office. We will discuss your testing options during your scheduled appointment with our office. We do not want your hive and or swelling problem to worsen by discontinuing your antihistamine.
