Roshni Kandyil Foster, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Kandyil Foster has been in practice since 2009 and specializes in the care of children and adults with allergies, asthma, immune and respiratory disorders. Her areas of interest include management of food and drug allergies, contact dermatitis, asthma and eczema in children and adults.

“I went into medicine because I enjoy helping people and it is a noble profession. As my father always says, “Health is wealth” and I truly believe this. Good health is a blessing and should not be taken for granted. I consider it a privilege to help someone feel better or lead a more healthy lifestyle. I enjoy providing both children and adults with the best healthcare possible. I chose allergy and immunology because it is a fascinating field and allergies seem to be affecting more and more people these days, whether it’s nasal and eye allergies, allergies leading to the development of asthma, or food allergies. There is a lot of exciting, cutting-edge basic science and clinical research going on in the field of allergy and immunology right now. I obtained a PhD in genetics and would like to apply that knowledge by doing more clinical studies in food allergy.

I enjoy hearing how much better a patient's nasal and eye symptoms are since starting immunotherapy shots. I enjoy finding out what food/s are contributing to a child’s eczema and seeing their skin clear up when they avoid the trigger food/s. In addition, conditions such as food allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease are two of my areas of interest. These are hot topics in our field right now and there is a lot yet to be discovered about these conditions, so I enjoy working with patients who have these conditions.”
